A Charitable Choir
The Bristol Cabot Choir was established in 1977 as the XIV Singers and numbers 70 adult singers drawn from across the city and beyond. We are a mixed voice auditioned choir. We perform at least three times annually. A feature of our concert performances is that they are in aid of local charities which do not attract national publicity. Over the last few years we have contributed up to £4000 each year to our chosen good cause.
This year the choir is delighted to help Alive! (registered charity no. 1132708). Alive! is a recently created charity which exists to promote the health and wellbeing of care home residents, particularly those with dementia. It does so through a variety of activities, including discussion, music, reminiscence, and links with external community groups. Alive! has already formed relationships with some 90 care homes throughout the Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire and works with many major names in the residential care field.
