Who is Bristol Cabot Choir?

Bristol Cabot is one of Bristol’s finest performing choral groups. We maintain a membership of about seventy singers, and heartily welcome new voices to join us.

We perform three concerts a year and are supported by a loyal audience who tell us we have grown from strength to strength over the years!

Every year we support a local charity and this year our chosen charity is Singing to Remember, under the umbrella of  Trinity-Henleaze, United Reform Church (UK Charity 1130485)
The Henleaze Singing To Remember Group (formerly Singing for the Brain) was set up ten years ago in The Bradbury Hall, Trinity-Henleaze United Reformed Church.  We meet on the first, third and fifth Thursday afternoons each month from
2.00 - 3.45pm.  Each session begins with a café, with members sitting at tables to enjoy a cup of tea and chat.  From 2.30pm people move to the large circle, and begin the singing.  There is a warm-up, action songs, rounds, songs from the shows, and many golden oldies. 9 volunteers run the sessions together with a facilitator, who is paid.  We are a group of people (9) who have close relationships and whose commitment is 100% and have different roles within the group.
Last year we re-opened as an independent group and have increased our attendance over the year.  We currently attract around a dozen couples to each session. Whether you would like to  attend a performance, or join the choir, all of the information that you need will be found here.  Bristol Cabot Choir seeks singers from all voice parts, in particular tenor and bass. We are a friendly auditioned choir, of varying ages, with almost 40 years experience of choral singing in Bristol and we frequently perform with professional soloists and orchestras. We also have opportunities to work with vocal coaches from WNO and singers and composers from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Our members come from all walks of life. Not only do we create music together, but we also have an active social calendar, and a lively rehearsal coffee break!  We perform three concerts a year with a repertoire that embraces music from different centuries, from renaissance to brand new commissions.
